Tee Off With Slingo Solitaire Golf!

Get ready to take a swing into green fields full of fun with Slingo Solitaire Golf! This Slingtastic solo game gets your noggin rolling, because it’s as much about strategy as it is about fun.

Choose from a game of Mini-Golf or Biggy Golf, The Mini game uses more cards in the grid but doesn’t award the same big payouts. Biggy Golf gives you fewer cards so it’s more of a challenge, but the rewards are higher to go along with it.

In each game of Solitaire Golf, you need to clear away cards by going up and down sequentially one step at a time from the top card in your discard pile. It’s a little like taking a walk around the greens enjoying the day! The kings, though, are a little like a sand trap – you have to get past them, but once you’ve got a king you have to flip a new card into your discard pile.

At the end of each hole of Solitaire Golf you play you’ll be rated on whether you go over or under par, just like in real golf. Par is scored based on whether you clear all of the cards in your board, and whether there are any cards left in your discard pile when you’re done. You’ll come in further under par by finishing faster and more efficiently, just like taking fewer strokes in golf.

So get your cleats on and come play a few rounds of Solitaire Golf right now – it’s super fun, rain or shine!

Description

The objective of Solitaire Golf is to score as many points as possible by playing through several rounds of a Solitaire style game using a scoring system based on Golf.

Starting the game

When the game begins, you will have the option of Mini-Golf or Biggy-Golf. There are several differences which are listed in "Playing the Game" below.

Once the game is started, the game board is displayed. Every game is played from a standard deck of 52 cards.

  • Biggy Golf – The game board is made up of 35 cards, face up in a 7×5 fashion
  • Mini Golf – The game board is made up of 28 cards, face up in a 7×4 fashion

Gameplay

The remaining cards are spread out face down in the "Draw Pile". The first card of the "Draw Pile" is turned face up in the "Discard Pile" and you can now start removing cards from the game board. To remove the FIRST CARD from the game board, you must click on a card that is either one number higher or one number lower than the card in the "Discard Pile". You can only click on a card that is not covered by any other card. e.g. You have a 5 in the "Discard Pile". This means you can click on a 4 or a 6 to get you started. Once you have removed the FIRST CARD from the game board, you may then continue to remove cards from the game board that are either one number higher or one number lower than the most recently chosen card. You can only click on a card that is not covered by any other card. (You can always see the last card you clicked on in the "Discard Pile") e.g. Let’s say that you click on a 4 for your FIRST CARD – you can now click on either a 3 or a 5 on the game board. You can continue to click on cards on the game board until you have no cards that are sequentially next to your card. You can keep clicking higher or lower for maximum score. **THE EXCEPTION** – The KING can only be clicked on if the previous card was a QUEEN. You cannot go from Ace to King and once you click on a King, then you cannot click on any more cards. In essence, the King is a "Stopper" (But be careful, you will need to remove Kings from the game board to continue!) When you have no more cards that you can click, you must click on your "Draw Pile" to keep dealing cards until there is a card in the "Discard Pile" that you can use to start removing cards from the game board.

How Par works

Par is what will determine what your score will be at the end of each round. For Mini-Golf the Par is 2. For Biggy-Golf the par is 8. Your "golf" score for each round is based on: [Cards Remaining] Minus [Cards in Draw Pile] Minus [Par] = Golf Score. e.g. You clear the game board and have 3 cards left in your "Draw Pile", then your score is a -5 (Mini) or -11(Biggy). e.g. You do NOT clear the game board and have 3 cards left on the game board, then your score is a 1(Mini) or -5(Biggy).

Scoring

  • Every card removed from the game board – 25 Points
  • Each additional card removed after the first – 35 points, 45, 55, 65, etc. until the chain is broken
  • Clearing the game board – 100 Points (Mini) / 500 Points (Biggy)

  • 0 "Par" – 500 Points
  • 1 to 4 – 250 Points
  • 5 to 10 – 125 Points

  • -10 to -5 – 5,000 Points
  • -4 to -1 – 2,500 Points
